Parliament ratifies agreement with Japan on grant for choreographic college

ASTANA. Deputies of the senate have approved the draft law “On ratification of the agreement in the form of an exchange by notes between the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the government of Japan on attraction of a grant from the government of Japan to implement a project ‘Supply of Equipment for Educational Complex of the Almaty Choreographic College named after A.V.Seleznev’,” today, December 28, at a plenary meeting of the chamber, Kazakhstan Today correspondent reports.

The agreement suggests that the government of Japan will grant 48,600,000 Yens ($412,000) for the procurement of the college.

The purpose of the agreement is to provide procurement for the Almaty Choreographic College named after A.V.Seleznev by means of equipping an educational complex in it.

The agreement was signed between the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the government of Japan in Astana on 14 March, 2006.

The draft law has been submitted to the President for signing.
