Community College of Aurora has received a $44,000 grant from the Daniels Fund as part of the organization’s Daniels Opportunity Scholarship program.

With those grant funds, CCA has earmarked four scholarships for General Education Diploma recipients and 17 for students entering CCA’s Emergency Medical Services (EMS) program.

CCA’s first G.E.D. scholarship recipients include Chris Petrolay, Brittany Stein, Abel Marruto and Kearyan Gallagher. All began attending classes this week for the Spring 2007 semester. Scholarships for EMS students will be awarded later this semester.
