Technical college, feds reach settlment over misused funds

MADISON, Wis. Officials at the Lac Courte Oreilles (lah-coot-ah-RAY’) community college have agreed to pay the federal government in a settlement over misused grant money.
Former Ojibwa (oh-JIB’-wah) Community College administrator Thomas Flaschberger was found guilty in 2004 of defrauding the federal government. He was accused of inflating the number of students to help win grants.
