Steer’s sale to fund scholarship in teen’s memory

OAKLAND — Daniel Ocumpaugh’s FFA steer project won’t go uncompleted despite the teenager’s death on Oct. 20.

A 5-kilometer race is planned for Sunday, April 29, to benefit the Tanner Birch and Kyleigh D’Alessio Memorial Scholarship Fund.

The walk or run will start from West Morris Central High School on Bartley Road at 1 p.m.
Register at www.wmchs.org or from 11:30 a.m. at the race site on Sunday.
Entry fee for the race is $20, which supports the scholarship fund.
