Ali-Tessa Memorial Scholarship Fund

The First Annual Ali-Tessa Memorial Scholarship Fundraiser was held today at Q-Master Billiards in Virginia Beach.

It is meant to help raise awareness and money for scholarships to First Colonial and Kellam High Schools in Virginia Beach.

Alison Kunhardt was a student at First Colonial and Tessa Trechaunt was a student at Kellam High. The two girls were killed when 22 year olf Alfredo Ramos slammed his car into the back of theirs. Ramos, an illegal immigrant admitted to driving drunk.

Organizers hope to raise $20,000 at today’s fundraiser. Q-Master Billiards owner, Barry Behrman never knew the girls but was touched by the tragedy and provided the room and 20 pool tables of free play including food and non-alcoholic drinks.

Dave Kunhardt, Ali’s father says providing scholarships to the schools is a way for the memories of the girls to live on in the city they grew up in.
