ACF scholarships available for children of members
Since 1992, more than $350,000 from the Alabama Cattlemen’s Foundation has been awarded to the sons and daughters of ACA members.

1. Tagged for Greatness Scholarships - $1,000 - $1,500
These scholarships are funded by the Alabama Cattlemen’s Foundation through the sale of the “Cowboy Tag” which honors the state’s livestock industry. Available to incoming freshmen at a four year university.
2. Samuel Upchurch Memorial Scholarship - $4,000
This scholarship is for 2008 incoming freshman in the College of Agriculture. May be redeemed for more than one year if requirements are met.
3. Ed Wadsworth Memorial Scholarship - $1,500
This scholarship goes to a junior or senior majoring in animal science at Auburn University who is seeking a career in the beef cattle industry and has exhibited leadership skills.
4. Cecil Lane Family Scholarship - $1,750
This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance and recognition to a student with strong ties to the beef cattle industry. The student must be from Alabama and should be an incoming freshman at Auburn University’s College of Agriculture. The scholarship may be renewed for a second year if grades are maintained and criteria is met.
5. Ina E. Powell Memorial Scholarship - $1,500
This scholarship is for an outstanding high school senior for furthering her education at Auburn University in the College of Agriculture, School of Forestry and Wildlife Sciences, College of Human Sciences, or the College of Education. The scholarship is for girls whose parents or grandparents are current ACA members for two consecutive years, have a strong academic and leadership record, and are involved in agriculture.
6. The Wax Company Scholarships - $1,000
These scholarships are awarded to high school seniors and college students studying agriculture at Auburn University. These scholarships are funded through the sale of Marshall and Jackson ryegrass seed.
7. Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine Scholarship - $1,500
This scholarship is awarded to a student currently enrolled in the AU College of Veterinary Medicine. A strong background in Alabama’s livestock industry as well as intention to practice large animal medicine is suggested for applicants for this scholarship.
8. Auburn Animal Science Department Graduate Student Scholarship - $1,500
This scholarship is awarded to students currently enrolled in a graduate program of study through the Department of Animal Science. A strong background in Alabama’s livestock industry as well a research project focused on beef or beef cattle is required for this scholarship.
