PhD scholarship scheme launched

The Glasgow Centre for International Development (GCID) has launched its scholarships for high-achieving candidates from different countries in Africa and Asia, including Pakistan, says a press release.

The scholarship is for students who wish to pursue PhD studies at the University of Glasgow starting in October 2008.

The PhD proposal must be in one of GCID’s four priority research areas — Health (Human and Animal); Environmental Management; Education, Lifelong Learning and Global Citizenship and Economic Development.

Successful candidates will receive a three-year scholarship, which includes payment of fees at the University of Glasgow and a monthly stipend for living expenses.
